So for the second part of my art assignment i had to find an image and appropriate myself into it, for those who don't know what that means it's to adopt, borrow, recycle or sample aspects of an artwork, so take something and make it yours, aha. So i took Steve Lunckers photography 'Xavier' which he done with a guy obviously called Xavier, whom was dying, they made a series of photographs meeting each other every thursday at three o'clock, the work lasted for two years until Xavier died on November, 1998. Of coarse im not dying but the contrasts of colour, and light and the black and white scheme really drew me towards the image. In my pictures you might see a scarecrow because our theme is 'Outback Vision'. Also if you cannot see the text, it reads: "Disaster in Australia on the date, Monday, the sixth of November, eighteen eighty eight. Attempts to save possessions were huge efforts made in vain, the buildings very tinder dry, 'twas so long since the rain". < The meaning of that was there was a fire down the main street in my town in 1888 and it burned everything as there was a drought. Anyway hope you like my image :)
