Basically I made this to get my photography & writing out into the world. Follow me and whatnot, and tell me if you like my photography, there will be more to come. I've also been working on creating worlds for the sims 3 which will be uploaded, I'd say when but I'm a little short on time :)

Sims 3 Pet - Solution to fixing CC

Simmers Community,

So I've had this problem for the past few days, and It is a wee bit frustrating so I thought I would do some testing myself. I did follow The Sims Resources 'guide' to fixing this problem but it seems it created more than what was fixed. For starters it wouldn't even find the granny2.dll file, even thought it was placed in the correct folders, then that file seemed to go missing, then I was using an outdated dll and so on. So all day today I've been spending my time trying to find a solution to the 'grannyconvertfiletoraw' message, and what I figured out seemed to work, well it did for me anyway.

First off download TSR Pets CC Bug Fixer (If the link doesn't work just let me know) and save it to well anywhere you like really.
Next you will need to download another 'Rigfix' this has the proper files rather than the bug fixer: Link (again if the link doesn't work let me know)
Once both are downloaded, install the application for the TSR cc bug fixer (rigfix). Then make a new folder and extract the files that are in the other rigfix.
Now open the TSR rigfix, and ther otehr rigfix folder, and copy the files granny2.dll, s3pi.Interfaces.dll, s3pi.Settings.dll, s3piwrappers.RigResource.dll, S3ToolKit.GameFiles.dll, S3ToolKit.Utils.dll, & System.Custom.dll. Copy these files into the TSR rigfix folder.

Once that is all done now open up TSR rigfix from desktop
Then select 'Choose Files' it should automatically open up to Sims 3> DCCache then select all the files that are in this folder. Give your computer a few minutes for the program to crunch the files to the system
 Then select 'Fix Selected'

And the conversion process should begin and then save, pending on the CC and your system depends on how long the entire process will take, and also the saving process. You can also do this with your .package files. TSR also said on their site that you can do the same with .sim3pack files so heres the link if you want to know the 'how to' with anything else.

Anyway I hope I helped a few people anyway. Take Care. T.

P.S, If anyone is having any further problems I suggest not to come to me, It was pure luck and chance that led this idea to actually working :D I'm just happy to share my help. aha
